Who writes our content

Articles and service pages on this website are written by the York Street Dental Centre team, the people who care for patients at our family dental office at 118 York Street, Cornwall, Ontario K6J 3Y8. Our goal is to answer the questions patients ask us every day in clear, plain language.

How content is reviewed

Before an article is published, it is reviewed for clinical accuracy by our dental team. When an article shows a review date, that is the date of the most recent review. We avoid exaggerated claims, do not promise specific results, and explain that treatment recommendations depend on an individual examination.

Sources we rely on

Where information depends on outside guidance, such as coverage under the Canadian Dental Care Plan, tax rules, or public health recommendations, we refer to official and reputable sources, including the Government of Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, and recognized dental and health organizations. Sources are listed at the end of the article when they are used.

Keeping information current

Dental guidance, insurance rules, and government programs change over time. We review articles periodically and update them when information changes. Updated articles show an "Updated" date.

Fees and coverage

Because every treatment plan is different, we do not publish fixed prices for treatment. We explain estimated fees after an examination, before treatment begins, and our team can help you understand what your insurance or the CDCP may cover.
